One of the West Midlands’ top communications agencies has strengthened its digital marketing team with the appointment of two new graduates thanks to the help of regional recruitment specialist Grad Central.
Edgbaston-based HRO’C Group is a full service agency and its Digital department helps businesses to produce a tailored online marketing strategy. This includes a range of different services, such as affiliate marketing, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Pay Per Click (PPC) management and website development.
Rated as one of the top 100 marketing agencies outside London by the Recommended Agency Register (RAR), HRO’C Group was on the look out for a high calibre of candidates to join its expanding team of digital specialists who would be able to cope with the demanding nature of this constantly evolving industry.
Mark Shergold, Head of HRO’C Digital, explained: “The fast paced nature of the digital industry means that the current wave of graduates falling into the “Generation Y” demographic was exactly what we were looking for when recruiting. Being web savvy, with a great understanding of social media and the latest technological updates give them the edge that is needed in this sector.
“Although we were not wanting the finished product, it was important that potential candidates had a good understanding of the digital industry, as well as a willingness to learn new skills and be open minded about working with a broad range of clients.
“Grad Central really listened to the requirements of our brief and found a number of exceptional candidates for us. The two selected are highly talented, eager to get stuck in and be part of our ever-growing business.”
Graduating in Management and Marketing from the Leicester Business School at De Montfort University, Abdul Khan from Coventry was selected to join the team as an account manager. He has been tasked with managing the team’s day-to-day activity schedule and liaising with existing clients.
Abdul explained: “I have been given the opportunity to challenge myself in this role at HRO’C Digital, working with a broad spectrum of clients that I could of never imagined. Grad Central helped me every step of the way when it came to finding a job suited to my background and experience, as well as something that would keep me on my toes.”
Tariq Khan from Hall Green graduated in Embedded Systems and Control from the University of Leicester and was chosen to join the team as a web developer. He has already helped to produce website structures and functionalities for new and existing customers, including Roundup Lawn and Garden Europe, Johnson Tiles and Safestore.
Tariq commented: “The service was quite excellent. Having not worked with such a vast range of clients before, it was great that Grad Central were able to help me get on board with the team at HRO’C Digital.
