Coventry-based Myriad Technologies Ltd has taken on its first graduate to help expand the potential for new business thanks to recruitment specialists, Grad Central.
Manufacturing and supplying a range of security solutions for UK based and international retailers, including Sony, Tesco, and John Lewis, Myriad Technologies has been well established in its market for over 15 years. Looking to broaden the scope of its business into the independent sector, the company was looking for the ideal candidate to join its team.
Geoff Green, Sales Director at Myriad Technologies, explained: “We were looking to build on our successful customer service record so we decided the best way to approach this was by hiring a graduate with a strong business and sales background.”
Sean Bennison, a graduate in Business and Management from De Montfort University, was successfully placed within the company as a Graduate Sales and Marketing Executive. His position involves both generating new business and maximising opportunities with the existing client base, whilst investigating ways to promote the brand and broaden the scope of the business.

Geoff added: “Sean stood out from the rest with his existing experience in the retail sector and thorough understanding of our marketplace, and we were confident taking him on knowing that he had the most up to date skills and training.”
Sean commented: “My role is focused predominantly on sales, however, I am getting the opportunity to diversify and work within different areas of the business. As a result, I am gaining new skills and experience within this small yet fast paced company that I might not have had chance to pursue in a larger organisation.”
Geoff said: “Grad Central went above and beyond our expectations and provided us with a very high calibre of candidates. Using a service that really understood our needs made the whole recruitment process much easier than previously thought, making it an easy decision for us to use them again in the future.”
