Area Process Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Area Process Engineer to join our client based in Bridgnorth. Our client is a quality supplier of aluminium rolled products and they are looking for an Area Process Engineer to develop as the company expert in the manufacturing process of the area and to manage the consistency and control of the process and to work with colleagues in the improvement of the process

Job Title: Area Process Engineer

As the Area Process Engineer you will be have the following responsibilities;
*Developing the knowledge of the control of technology involved in the processes within the production facility in the area defined.
*Defining the process recipes, control criteria and parameters critical for the successful manufacture of a product.
*Measuring and visualising the ongoing capability of the process parameters.
*Actively working within the team to achieve all departmental KPIs
*Contributes to bottom up reporting from shifts and the running of daily area meetings, to follow up and resolve issues of the area.
*Contributing to the Health, safety and environmental activities for the manufacturing area, and to work within UK legal requirements and the Company EHS policies.
*Working in supplier /customer relationships with all interfacing departments.
*Running effective improvement activities in the area to achieve and surpass business KPIs.
*Participating in the internal auditing processes for ISO standards.
*Management and application of HR policies in the area and for communication with the Union and shop stewards in the area.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in an Engineering, Science, Technology or Manufacturing related degree and will have solid experience in manufacturing processes with appropriate experiences of the processes involved. You will have good knowledge of process control, engineering principles and lean manufacturing principles along with a desire and skill to maintain process stability and direct small but continual improvements. You will be a strong communicator with good organisational skills, you will also be IT literate with the ability to interrogate computer systems (e.g. IBA) and make logical interpretation of the data discovered. It is highly advantageous that you are trained to Lean six sigma green belt.
