Our client, an industry leading specialist communications agency, has been crafting content and supplying evocative and successful marketing literature for some of the world's leading clients for over two decades. Their unrivalled client list includes Rolls Royce , Siemens , Toshiba , Eon and KFC .
This enviable opportunity carries with it great responsibility and will prove to be a rewarding challenge. However, for a positive, skilled and experienced individual, who is passionate about sales and marketing in particular, and has a breadth of experience in business development positions - it could be a dream job.
Job Title: Business Development Manager
Location: Redditch, Worcestershire
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000
The purpose of the role will be to gain new clients for the agency and achieving set new business targets.
Main responsibilities:
* Following up new business opportunities and setting up meetings
* Contributing to and co-ordinating pitches and presentations
* Establishing and maintaining working relationships
* Communicating new product developments to prospective clients
* Managing telesales campaigns
* Overseeing the development of marketing literature
* Providing management with market feedback.
* Liaising with client development team to deliver successful new business presentations
* Maintain online presence for the agency on forums
* Building and maintaining a new business database
Our client is looking to hire a individuals who will make this position their own and actively drive the business forward. As a result, the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate previous experience within a new business development role and an unrivalled track record of success.
The successful candidate will also have good business sense, a strong commercial awareness and understanding of the market and competitors'. This will be complimented by excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
In addition, a knowledge of database/CRM systems is a must, as is a keen and evidence based understanding of the digital or social media platform.
We are primarily looking for candidates who are positive, self-motivated and willing take some initiative. The ideal candidate will be comfortable leading a team, be comfortable presenting or pitching to large audiences, and be comfortable negotiating and persuading to clients and customers alike.
