We have a great opportunity for a Claims Handler/PA to join our client based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Our client is a commercial insurance brokerage and they are extremely keen to appoint a Claims Handler/PA to take on a variety of tasks.

Job Title: Claims Handler/PA
Location: Shrewsbury, Shropshire
Salary: £20,000- £25,000

Working as the Claims Handler/PA you will have various duties which will include;
*Negotiating over the telephone with insurance companies, solicitors etc.
*Visiting clients to build strong professional relationships
*Proactively administer and negotiate claims settlements on behalf of clients
*Act as the first point of contact for all claims
*Understand and adhere to strict procedural guidelines and document/action recording
*Check claims to assess the nature and extent of any liability
*Calculate the value of any claims to recommend the amount of settlement
*Prepare settlement of claims and take necessary action to close the file
*Diary management and appointment making
*Draft routine correspondence for approval by the Managing Director
*Attend and minute meetings as required
*Make any travel arrangements for the Managing Director

The successful candidate will have previous experience within a similar position; managing commercial insurance claims, loss adjusting, up to date knowledge of all claims-related issues and commercial insurance products and covers. You will have thorough knowledge of FSA rules and guidelines relating to commercial customer, general insurance and underlying legal principles and knowledge of Lloyd's rules, regulations and procedures.

You will have previous marketing experience creating presentations and mailers along with a high standard of written and verbal English. You will be an excellent communicator, highly organised, flexible and outgoing individual with the excellent customer service skills.
