Data Manager

Currently recruiting for a Data Manager to be based in Coventry for an initial 6 month contract.
The role will involve some occasional travel to Sheffield.

The role will be responsible for involvement in our clients service which is currently embarking on a major change programme which may fundamentally change the way data is managed in the future.
As the Data Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for
* Implementing and managing a compliance regime
* Developing process and policies for managing and assuring data
* Developing standards and processes for ensuring data quality and checking compliance
* Developing and documenting robust data sharing processes

Candidates are required to have the following skills/experience;
* Management skills to co-ordinate staff from different disciplines and with differing viewpoints
* High level of Data Management, Security Management and Project Management knowledge
* Knowledge of Information Architecture, data standards and education data standards to ensure development in conjunction with existing business requirements.
* Knowledge of ICO Best Practise and Data protection legislation
* Ability to manage delivery against Internal and External Information Assurance and Security standards e.g. HM IA1-6.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Supplier management skills
* Experience of defining and assuring supplier work packages
* Good drafting skills
