We have an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Developer to join a well established and reputable software house based in Staffordshire. This is a great opportunity for Games Technology/Development graduates who have a passion for software development to start their career.
Job Title: Graduate/Junior Software Developer
Location: Staffordshire
Salary: £19,000 - £26,000 per annum
Working as the Graduate Developer you will join an eager team of developers and you will be involved in the development of market leading products and services. You will have the opportunity to become involved in TDD amongst code refactoring, continuous Integration and single click deployment, all in a support environment.
We are looking for candidates that have the following skills/experience;
?A strong academic background demonstrated by a minimum 2.1 degree in a Computer Games Technology/Development discipline.
?A love for software development.
?Very good understanding of OO principles for your level.
?A crucial ability to adapt and learn.
?Be excited by the opportunity to collectively code and pair program. Including the difficulties and ownership of code.
?Have a thirst to learn/master new technologies.
?A good communicator.
?Eager to learn new technologies and move the company forward using the most up to date development techniques.
It is desirable that you have;
?Proficiency in Version control (SVN with Tortoise).
?Hold experience in distributed databases and key value stores.
?Programming in parallel.
?SOA.
