0 - 5 years: Specialise in child development by training as an Early Years Teacher on our fully funded one-year course. If you are a graduate with a 1st or 2:1 you may be eligible for a bursary of between £4,000 - £9,000. As this course is fully funded, there are no tuition fees. You must at least have a grade C in GCSE English, Mathematics and Science (or equivalent).
6 - 11 years: Places still available on our Schools Direct programme which runs in partnership with the University.
11 - 18 years: We offer three different routes to become a secondary school teacher including a salaried role within your school. You could specialise in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics or Drama.
- The university-led PGCE course is a one year full-time programme which prepares you to teach pupils in the 11 to 18 age range. You may be eligible for a tax-free training bursary of up to £20,000.
- Our Secondary School Direct Training Programme is suitable for high-quality graduates who want to feel part of a school team while training. You will pay fees but may be eligible for a bursary of up to £20,000 or a scholarship of up to £25,000 to support you.
- The School Direct Training Programme (Salaried) is an employment based route and is for high-quality experienced graduates with work experience - not necessarily in education. This route enables you to work within a school and train in the classroom, supported by teachers and mentors.
