Operations Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join our client based in Croydon. Our client is the leading UK & European Express Parcels Carrier who are looking for an Operations Manager to join their management team.

Job Title - Operations Manager
Location - Croydon
Salary- £36, 000 plus £3,290k allowance

As the Operations Manager your role will be to achieve the depot objectives in terms of achieving operational, compliance, financial, customer service and HR tasks and responsibilities, through effective management of employees through the management team, maintenance of company operating standards and ISO operating procedures.

Key Tasks/Areas of Responsibility: Operational:

* To manage and continually review the collection and delivery operation in line with the company's policies and procedures within key measures of performance.
* To manage Owner Driver Franchise contracts at depot level, raising any issues to the attention of the franchise department
* To manage Business Start training in conjunction with the Regional On Job Trainers to ensure that new Owner Driver Franchisee's are fully trained Compliance
* To maintain Quality procedures
* To ensure compliance with Finance procedures
* To support the existing customer care process through structured reviews, customers visits and liaise with the Sales and CRM Departments
* To manage effective and accurate communication between the depot, Central Customer Services and our Customers Human Resources
* To effectively and accurately manage all depot absence in line with the company Absence Management Procedure Key Measures of Performance

The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role, and will ideally have proven experience within the Parcel/Courier industry. You must have experience of managing teams of up to 70 employees and be able to take ownership; you will also have experience in change management and growth and be able to work in a fast paced environment.
