Service Desk/Field Support Technician

I am currently recruiting for two positions in Ayrshire and Arran for Service Desk / Field Support positions.
The roles will provide comprehensive 1st and 2nd line technical support service for all IT hardware, complex clinical and administrative software systems. The successful candidate will ensure that the support service is delivered to end users, meeting agreed service levels and ensuring that problems are managed through to resolution.
Candidates are required to have a driving licence along with the following skills/experience;

*Network experience and knowledge of networking protocols and software.
*Ability to diagnose / resolve networking, software and hardware problems.
*Knowledge of Windows 2000, XP, 7, Microsoft Office packages, UNIX.
*Effective troubleshooting skills and a working knowledge of LAN infrastructure including hubs, routers and servers.
*Ability to shoulder responsibility; work in a disciplined, conscientious and mature manner.
*Excellent communication / people skills.
*Ability to embrace constant change.
