Shift Manager (C&D)

Our client, a leading business within the Logistics industry is looking to recruit Shift Managers to join their teams in the South East Region. As the Shift Manager the purpose of your role will be to achieve operational, cost, service, people management and compliance (security, risk and H&S) objectives.

Job Title: Shift Manager
Location: We have a number of vacancies throughout the South East (e.g. Southall, Feltham)
Salary: c. £30k (this includes LW Allowance)

As the Shift Manager you will report to the Operations Manager and you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of drivers and warehouse operatives. You will require the following skills to be utilised - Leadership, Coaching, Motivation, Team-building and Communication.
Key responsibilities;

*Covering all elements of the Shift Manager role
*Good working knowledge of our clients operational and administrative procedures at depot level
*Team meeting productivity, operational and quality targets
*Work within set KPIs including Transport, Health and Safety, ISO and Costs
*Accurately report costs, volumes and service levels in a timely manner, using the prevailing software packages
*Courteous and efficient interaction with customers by means of personal contact, telephone calls and via Central Customer Services resulting in efficient and effective resolution of enquiries and high levels of customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a similar position, and will have successful man-management and time management skills, you will be organised with the ability to work on your own initiative and be self motivated. You will have a firm but fair approach to supervision and will be able to work well under pressure. Operational awareness would be highly advantageous for this position. The successful candidate will hold a full UK Driving license.
