Senior & Electrical Design Engineers now required to design hardware systems mainly using proprietary hardware components for control panels with a primary focus on MCC's, Drives & Controls and switchgear. You will be working for the foremost provider of advanced automation and real-time business intelligence throughout the UK joining over 200 staff working within the Power Generation, Nuclear and Utilities sectors. The successful candidate will assist to actively and continually strive to ensure the effectiveness of their clients' operations through providing the most reliable and appropriate systems and services possible by understanding their bespoke requirements.

This role is likely to be heavily client facing, therefore excellent communication skills are essential. Other requirements include:

* Comprehensive knowledge of LV modular distribution systems incorporating either MCC's, transformers and switchboards
* Strong knowledge of the design and implementation of motor control centres, motor control gear and instrumentation
* Strong knowledge of CE&I
* A good working knowledge of related safety and environmental legislations, G5/4 Harmonic Standard
* Able to develop technical solutions to meet project and customer expectations
* Good working knowledge of AutoCAD
* Ability to produce suitable test specifications
* Understanding of primary and secondary current injection and ductor testing
* Ability to produce design specifications covering all aspects from start to finish of the full project lifecycle
* Thorough understanding of, or working towards, BS7671 IEE 17th Edition Wiring Regs
* Understanding of IEC BS EN 60439-1, LV switchgear and control-gear assemblies
* Confidence to work within a multi-disciplinary design team

You can expect a Basic Salary of up to £32k and is commutable from Wolverhampton, Dudley, Stone, Stafford, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Crewe, Stoke-on-Trent and Nantwich. This role is available on a contract or permanent basis.
