Graduate Electrical Engineer (Quality)

With major new programmes underway this leading Automotive OEM Car Manufacturer are in a position to recruit an Electrical Quality Engineer on an ongoing contract basis. Graduates will some of the relevant experience will be considered and trained on the job. This job will see you investigating electrical concerns on vehicles in the field with customers or at Dealers; using PPS/8D methodology, set standards, responsible for Parts Quality, Vehicle Investigation and Release Engineering Changes.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks;
-To reduce Warranty on Electrical issues, and were appropriate change the design of electrical components to improve reliability and functionality.
-Requires the knowledge of vehicle diagnostics to interrogate vehicles to support problem investigations.
-To investigate concerns using PPS/8D methodology.
-To issue engineering releases to solve concerns and approve the parts introduction.
-To work with suppliers to ensure quality problems (particularly repeating or complex issues) are investigated & countermeasures implemented.
- To liaise with manufacturing departments to implement vehicle quality standards. This will mean responsibilities both in-plant and off-site at suppliers.

Qualifications & Experience ideally required is as follows:
-Ideally Degree qualified or possessing equivalent and relevant engineering experience.
-You will need to have previously worked within an OEM Manufacturer or Tier 1 Automotive supplier responsible for Automotive Electrical/Electronic parts and Quality.
-Experience of vehicle analysis using diagnostic equipment to support investigations and experience ideally of uploading upgrade software into vehicles.
-Experience in problem solving.
-Experience dealing with next tier suppliers.
-You will need practical experience of problem solving particularly with electrical products and on-vehicle systems.
-Reporting from internal and external meetings.
-Experience in the use of MS Office.
-Able to work overseas on occasions.
