Due to an exciting period of growth, they now have a vacancy for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with sound grounding in parametric modelling to join their design office in the West Midlands.

As the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for research and design, carrying out 3D modelling and draughting using Autodesk Inventor 2010, creating drawings of sheet metal, fabricated metal components and castings. Duties will also include calculating forces, producing design solutions to meet with customer and internal requirements ensuring conformance with legal requirements and preparing production documentation, drawings and bills of materials (BOM's).

Qualified in mechanical engineering, the successful candidate will have a strong background in 3D design (Inventor or similar), FEA and dimensional tolerances and will be experienced in designing machinery and selecting motors.

In return our client is offering a salary of up to £34k, company bonus, pension scheme (up to 6% matched) and 25 days holiday + stats per annum and is commutable from Coventry, Solihull, Birmingham, Rugby, Warwick, Redditch, Nuneaton, Hinckley, Daventry, Wigston, Leicester & Stratford Upon Avon
