Renowned world-wide for their precision, accuracy and flexibility, this market leading company has been providing innovative bespoke solutions for almost a century. Due to an exciting period of growth, they now have a vacancy for an experienced Software Engineer.

Your main responsibilities will involve the design, implementation and testing of a variety of software solutions. In addition, you will develop, maintain, test and debug existing in-house software products. The model candidate will have skills and knowledge in most of the following:
* Front end user dialog design (HMI) for machine tools
* Experience with communication protocols such as DDE, Windows Sockets, OPC, etc.
* Modular code design
* Experience with wordpress website development
* Experience in design and interfacing to SQL databases
* Skills in mathematics (especially trigonometry)
* Testing new programs and fault finding
* Software integration into the CNC control system
* Writing the initial software function design specification
* Writing software operational documentation (using htmlhelp)

The ideal candidate will have excellent high level programming skills using an object oriented programming language such as VB.Net or C#.Net. Experience with SQL databases will also be advantageous but not essential.

Based in the West Midlands you must be prepared to carry out some overseas travel sometimes at short notice, therefore a full passport & driving license are also required. You can expect a base salary of up to £35k depending on experience along with a pension scheme and performance based bonus. This role is commutable from Nuneaton, Birmingham, Warwick, Coventry and Leicester.
