Graduate Assistant Accountant

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Graduate Assistant Accountant to join our client on a 5 month contract based in North Derbyshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to add invaluable experience to their CV, working a leading manufacturer of packaging and point of sale equipment. The role will suit a recent Accounting graduate, who is seeking hands on work experience to help develop their career in Finance.

Role: Graduate Assistant Accountant
Location: North Derbyshire
Salary: £16,000 - 19,000 (pro rata) plus £1,000 bonus upon completion.
5 month fixed term contract, beginning in August.

With a view to start in August, you will join a team of four in a busy finance department and will help in a broad range of accounting functions such as:

*Payroll
*VAT
*Credit Control
*Trial Balance work

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in an Accounting based degree and will benefit from any previous experience within a similar position. Our client will provide extensive training, although they do require candidates to be computer literate and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. You will be analytical by nature with an excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
Our client use an Accounting package called Pegasus Opera, so there is no requirement to have prior knowledge of Sage or similar packages but any experience or knowledge of these would be beneficial.

Candidates must be fully available between August 2012 and January 2013.
